    Hello all, new member here, been lurking for awhile, thought I would go ahead and join up. Had some saws get stolen not long ago and been looking for replacements for my firewood cutting and to use around my farm. I bought a new MS 271, a couple weeks ago and was looking for something just a litte bigger. I have always been a Stihl guy, but have been eye balling a Husqvarna 555, well I finally picked one up this morning from a local dealer, for a pretty good deal I thought. I cut some White Oak this evening after work, ran about a tank and a half of fuel through it, and was really impressed with this saw. I am sure it will get better the more I use it. Going to pick up my new log splitter this weekend, so looking forward to that as well. Anyway, glad to be a member.

    Lol.... was waiting on that. I had just finished cutting and set It up there to refuel, oil, and tighten that chain. Thanks for the Welcome guys.

    I hate new chains for that reason !! Constant tightening the first time out :(

    I think you possessed me, I may be buying a Triple Nickel now!! I had a 562xp a couple years ago and loved it. But the 555, 6400, and 362C would be a killer firewood trio.

    Dex, you're going to have me committed if I keep laughing out loud at your posts. ;). I wouldn't mind adding a 562XP to my collection but I would have to build it it's own shed. Would hate for the Stihls to pick on it too much when I'm not around.....

    This all started from a text message between myself and WVhunter. He mentioned it and I have not stopped thinking about it.

    I really would love the 261C. . But I like 60 cc's :)

    Why the 555 and not a 2258 ? ;). Or a 2260/562XP?

    Is this new saw going to be stock? :)

    Do I have to bring a certain MS261C-M back out to Ohio? :p I do recall it sending a few stock 60cc units back to the tailgate. :smoke:Man, I love that saw...... :saw::saw::saw:
