Did you call directly to the Manufacturing company? I ordered mine through a local dealer and it was 10% more, that 10% goes straight to the dealer and the balance is what goes to the manufacturing company. If you order straight from them the price is lower, although I didnt mind too much since I was helping support a local guy.
So the dealer gets $80 to install it!! Or is a dealer just someone who places your order for you and the site I linked too is a manufacturer and they send guys out to install it no matter who you ordered it from??
The dealer just gets the $80 for selling it. They don't have anything to do with it after that. Once the order is placed you deal with the manufacturing company to have it delivered and installed. Before I ordered I asked around a lot to see if I could get it cheaper if I installed it. Only one place even had that option and it was only a 5% discount but also voided the warranty. What they do is wait until they have a bunch of orders then send a crew to install them all in that are over a few days.
Down in your area may be a little different though since carports are a lot more common in the south. I know when we lived down there almost everyone had a carport, but up here they are few and far between.
Your right about that swags like I said earlier like every fifth house has one and like every other trailer. There are many sheds and shops and metal buildings based from the same companies.
Swags and Dex I just pulled up the carolica car ports/all steel car ports direct website and the same thing is $100 more in your area. The very same carport I see priced at $695 is $795 when I select Ohio.
My cousin has a shed/carport shop in Greenwood. He might be able to help you out. His shop is on 72 just east of Greenwood. Has a Waglers sign out front.
He out toward the lake? Got a bunch of big metal barns out there and use to sell like farm equipment on auction or something?
Yes he is fairly close to the lake, right across from the piggly wiggly. I don't think k they sold farm equipment. They have a big section of play sets for sale too.
Yea I thought of that one just a bit ago. Has the neat looking playhouses that look like ships and various sheds. Next to the RV place and across from the grocery. Google said he is right on the bypass next to the Buck stove store between it and the waffle house across from the mall...is that a retail location and the other is a shop? The larger has all kinds of aderondack chairs , dig houses and wood sheds. My wife likes what she sees there.
Yes the main lot is there on 72 and has the ships and playhouses. The other lot is just a rented space to display. They also make horse barns. Pretty cool place.
He deffinitly has talent. Some of the most decorative sheds and things I have seen are from him. Every thing has that extra little detail.
Clemson, when I posted pictures of ours, I forgot to add the title that this was a carport. We just added sides and ends, a couple overhead doors, windows and a walk-in door and presto, the carport turned into a barn. Quite naturally though, we now wish we'd gone larger.
