That's a nice way of putting it. I had to stop at 60 seconds. F*ck up the bit instead of finding an appropriate tool ? Really ?
Looks like a mess maker....or finger breaker. Kind of like some of the goofy death machines you see on YouTube wood cutting compilations. I will stick to my double hatchet method.
I think he stuck that thing into his ear one too many times. His vids still show up in my feed occasionally but I just delete them.
Please don't encourage him. As already mentioned in this thread, Wranglerstar's videos aren't what they used to be. I haven't been watching in a few years, but I clicked on this one out of curiousity. My mistake.
In my opinion the best way to make kindling is to fill your chopping block tire with no knot splits or a large round and beat it with the maul. Fast and safe, definitely wear eye protection
"It's a backwards thread". It's a left-handed thread because it is in reality an adaptor to fasten a cloth buffing wheel onto a buffer. The ones for the right side of the machine have right-handed threads and on the left side they have left-handed threads so when the buffer is turned on and the wheels rotating, they will tend to be tightened by the rotation and not loosened.
I never realized making kindling was so tough. Good grief. I'll admit I watched more than half of the video, it's so stupid I couldn't turn away.
Yes. It's all part of the artisinal firewood making process. If you use organic non GMO buffing pads, your artisinal firewood kindling will end up with a nice patina.
I know, right? I seem to find that I get plenty of kindling when I split rounds. I still end up tossing most of the splitter chaff into the weeds.
