I wear stihl buckle chaps currently. Wouldn’t mind some pant or I’ve been reading about zip up chaps. They sound better. I like being able to put them on quickly anytime I’m dealing with trees/farwood. Keeps wife happier cause pants are cleaner

I just did a quick search, and I mean quick, and the price of chainsaw safety pants ranged $175 to $265. Over my budget, I'll stick with my Stihl apron chaps. Good luck in your quest, and as always, safety first! :salute:

I wear the the type of chaps that cover the front and clip in the back. I guess that makes them a$$less chaps.

A buddy gave them to me because an old union he belonged to required them as needed equipment, but he hardly needed to use them, and no longer needed them. How could I say no. I went without for five years so I am happy to have them.

Never tried chainsaw pants. I use full-wrap chaps from Labonville. They go on easy enough. One waist snap, 3 snaps each leg.

I scored a set of Stihl chainsaw pants at a local online auction last year. I wear them when its cold. Otherwise i use a pair of chaps. They bug me too, but i tolerate them.

I get on and off my tractor a lot when I’m cutting wood & the chap straps get caught on a lot of stuff.

I have some chaps that I use. Probably not as much as I should but I always take them with me when falling trees.

I got a set of older husqvarna blue chaps that I found in the shop at work. Started wearing them pretty religiously since I got hooked up with you fine folks. It’s a good thing to because I’ve put one nick in the left thigh already. I usually wear double front carhartts, but I don’t know if they would have been enough to keep from drawing blood!!! 1 snap buckel on the waist and 2 on each leg. A little uncomfortable and awkward but probably not as much as walking around in circles on a stump leg

I guess as cheap or expensive as any of these are if they save us one trip to the emergency room they will more than
    pay for themselves.

Adjust the straps & cut off the excess. Way easier to avoid snagging/stepping on them.

I've got the Stihl Canada 3000 front protection chaps.
    STANDARD 3,000 Chaps -

Problems are no front pocket and burrs in the buckles. I got some of the burrs out with a needle file, but they're still hard to unlatch. They're nice and warm this time of year, but almost too hot in the summer.

I bought my ground guy and myself a pair of arborwear ironwood chainsaw pants. I’m liking them, but not cheap at $250 a pair. Sizing is just like any other pair of pants though, which is easy to get the correct size.

I've got the blue Husqvarna chainsaw pants with button suspenders. My dealer got them on closeout and sold them to me for $25. Back then I could barely button them. Now after losing 50#s I can tuck my Carhartt vest in inside the pants easily. See my Avatar.

I have a pair of logger king pants, big bill pants, and stihl chainsaw chaps. I do not like the stihl chaps as they are to short, and don't feel they give the bottom of my legs good protection, the big bill pants are good with lots of room under them to wear work paints or jeans under, and the logger king pants are good, and fit like a regular pair of pants. They are all hot in the summer.
