    Update on mama...what started as a routine Dr visit changed. She was wheezing bad, feet swollen, been short of breath. Sent her over to ER. Admitted her to hospital, possible congestive heart failure. Her cardiologist will check her tomorrow

    Good morning.

    Lousy week for any wood work. Rainy, drizzly. Yuk.

    So, today I complete getting ready for a trip up to the White mtns, in New Hampshire! Up on Friday. Back on Monday.

    Myself and three friends, will be staying at a rustic cabin, for a long weekend. No running water. No electricity. No cell signal. Short walk out back to an outhouse. It does have a wood stove, and a supply of wood.

    Looking forward to bring off the grid for a few days.

    Good morning everyone! It has been damp for days now, but there are intervals when it's not raining. Can't clean up any leaves, that's my excuse to work on firewood! I have about half a rack of oak left in the driveway, so by the end of today, the driveway will be empty!
    It won't fill up my big oak vault, though, there will be room for more. Maybe I'll put some locust in there as well, gasp!
    I have to cut a new chunk of rubber roofing to cover it. The old piece is not quite long enough. There's a sheet of foam insulation in the basement that I'll stick under there as well, to make the top flatter. I don't have any plywood, and the foam is taking up space in the basement. Pics will be taken of course.
