    We’ve been burning wood for about 4 years now in a Vogelzang. Nothing too special but it gets the job done. I’ve cut all my firewood with an Stihl MS 250. I recently started messing with a Poulan 3400 that is my Grandaddy’s that hadn’t ran in 15 years. He no longer has a use for it so I’m hoping to get it going. We have 2 Shi Tzus or rats that I call them that my wife just thought we had to have. Plus a cat that my little boy likes to torture.

    This will be our 6 season coming up. We have that Drolet Blackcomb stove, it's a mid price stove too, for our winter's, does a great job. We had 2 cats but something got them. I have a MS029 & MS362 that I had huskihl work his magic on, ported and muffler modded. Just got my hunny a MS180, so she could learn. She helps me all the time. Check out the reading material in the resources section, especially Primer on woodburning by Backwoods Savage .
    Since you are down here, the thread "Git'ter done down in Dixie" might interest you...kinda follows what we do.
    "Thought for the day" has some good inspiration too. Our northern friends pick on us when we say it's cold, we get our revenge in the summer...lol...

    Good morning everyone! Cloudy with high in the 50's today, but no rain, I'll take it! I'll be back at my oak stacking project today. Behind the driveway stack is a weedy mess. Houseplants still need to come in too. I'm going to run out of warm temps soon, just glad we're not getting that dip in the jetstream yet! It has been a beautiful October, lots of mild sunny days.

    Good morning everyone! I'm going for a Craigslist this AM, some red oak the next town over. I won't be the first there, but he says there's some left. It'll break up the monotony of stacking, and give me a little extra to round out the stack if I'm short.
    My phone battery is losing its charge fast, time for a new phone. It's had a good run! Always traumatic to make a switch.
    A bunch of rain coming, so I'll make the most of today!
