Delivered a truckload and on the way home i got Large heavy oak rounds on the side of the road. Had to tap into the super woodwhore strength again. These ladies i delivered to had 3 no shows for wood and 2 callbacks with no response after. Couple of guys wanted over $300 for green too. My load 2 year seasoned truckload for $150. Ladies also want to hire me to cut trees for them for next year firewood. Lots of dead standing on there 11 acres 3 minutes down the road from me. I cut them a lg tub of kindling mixed with birch bark, they were happy customers. Im also splitting. Under a tarp. God i love this $hit.
It's nice to have happy customers when you take pride in what your doing... A couple of those oak rounds look like they may be a tad heavy? I like this stuff too... I still have trouble selling wood. Probably need to pretty soon.
I was wondering if the rain had stopped you today Woodwhore ? Do you know what you call a hoarder that works in the rain? A damp fool! Just kidding...old joke of mine that can apply to anyone working in the rain! Great that you made a customer happy and it was close to home and convenient plus led to more work and a score! I love this $&%T too but rain too heavy down here, but did cut in the rain couple weeks ago. Nice set up with tarps. Gonna keep you busy for a while.
He wanted to go to the dump last weekend to look for wood, fortunately there was some to take. He asked his mom if I wanted the tree that fell on his house, too.
I did a bunch of splitting, skippin the quarry tomorrow and goin to that grapple load of red oak at the wifes friends house. Cutting in summer rain and a winter snow storm is the best. Looking forward to burning in the snow and cutting
They took down all the hazards, but left two maple trunks that had the tops broken off. Looks pretty ugly. My son was in Texas when they cut at dusk. It cost them 3K over what the insurance will pay, to cut the other hazard trees as well as the one that fell on the house. The broken window was due to be replaced today.
Wood hoarding sometimes means improvising. You didn't let a little rain stop you. Good job helping out your buyer, sounds like it's going to pay off in the future.
