Why I have to clean weekly

I know this is kinda like buying a 4 cylinder coupe and then complaining about the lack of room and limited towing capacity....

The ash pan on inserts is pretty darn small. Once the ash builds up just a bit, it’ll start to block the air holes on the bottom of the burn pot housing and effect the burn.

I’ve done a few mud burn pan dumps, but still prefer a full shutdown and clean out.

Hey, still beats burning oil.

Same pan as mine.

 

I’m amazed at the difference of the freestanding version of these stoves have regarding ash pan depth.

Wow! My wife has cookie sheets deeper than those.think my harman p61 is 10 inches deep by 10 inches wide.can go month or more before emptying it.

 

I should put it next to an actual cookie sheet for comparison!
