Is this the first oak you've cut in the quarry? Maybe they don't like conditions there, perhaps shallow soil?

Bunch of white oaks and a couple of reds still by the main pile. This is in a patch of reds on the other side of the trail. image.jpg

I can understand how you feel, but when life hands you lemons, hoard wood. Wish i lived closer, it'd be real cool to go hoarding there with ya!
Get it while the gettin's good as they say here!

    Yes we "WOOD" for sure!
Ms. buZZsaw says if i bring more wood home she is leaving me. Boy am i going to miss her!
As much as i hate to admit it ive prioritized hoarding over work at times.

Im laughing out load alone in my office. Disciplinary action on yourself. Lmao i cant wait to get out of here and start on my new storage area. I just got the okay to take pallets from a local pellet-stove/pellet dealer. Ill definitely take before and after pics. Theres an old fenced in area up by my shed i might take the front of the fencing down and use the other sides to contain the rounds. Kickin around a few ideas. I wanna dump and run, stacking the rounds takes too much time. It does look nicer but im all about volume rt now. Plus upper management doesnt think i should waste time stacking rounds and logs when their just gonna get split soon.
