I wasn't feeling good, and I had to take down things, cover my loader and get back to hotel, cleanup, eat and get some rest for the 7+ hour drive. If I didn't have to leave in the morning, things may have been different but I can only get so much done.

I hear ya. Forgot that you were sick. Did read it in prior posts.
7 hours..wow! :picard:You're in Southern Jersey...and through NY traffic on a Sunday. Been there done that...a memorable experience and not a good one!
Good luck with the wind shield. Take care of that cold and hope you are back to your old, uh, i mean former self in no time!

So after licking my wounds and Chrissy off to work, I took another perspective of this windshield thing. I try not to dwell on things but looking at this situation, The Good Lord "was" looking down on us! Thank God what ever that was didn't go through!!! :eek:o_O Here is a pic from my view when it hit.

Not a worry buddy!!! Two days were horrible and bogieb says I jinx the weather everytime I come up! I drug up a bomb-Nor-easter with me this time, seems to be the norm. We got two days of getting odd things done, "it all helps"! Not to mention it's nice being outside and with "Awesome" company!:)

I was stunned how different the future yard looked, from what it was before! What did you do with all those big pine rounds? From my perspective I'd say you made a lot of progress.

That would've been bad had that rock come through! Glad it didn't.

    Glad you guys weren't hurt.

That does seem steep for a windshield though.

I've been saying to some of you "how close" I live to my neighbors, Look out my windshield pic above and look across the street. That'll tell you right there what it's like down here, nearly everywhere. Some places are even tighter on the Islands. Some places only have 6ft between houses. I have 20 between my neighbor and I. Way to close o_O:headbang::picard:

Morning Sir! I have 2 plans actually, and a 3rd for the unforeseen. 1st, I'd like to start building next late spring/summer after mud season. "Most" of the ducks are in a row and $$$ is available so thats the 1st plan. 2nd, if all doesn't get finished here which I have a few unfinished projects to complete, it'll be in 2021. "That may be the realistic" time frame and I have to have septic done by then, my permit is good through 2021. 3rd, I like having "Cash" $$$$$$$. I don't like dealing with banks which is nearly inevitable but the more $$$$$$$$$ I have up front, the more I can enjoy my retirement and what we worked for all these years! I am not unrealistic in knowing I'll owe some things, thats life. But I'm not forking out every dime I have to the bank to just sit in a house and die! New Hampshire and the Great North up there have way to much to offer me/us to enjoy and venture out!

Sounds good. I bet you won't have any problem keeping your eyes on the goal... and that will put you there before you know it. I'm looking forward to seeing your NH homestead project, as it goes along.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooo ready to be out of here!!! :zip: Between my neighbors, traffic, noise, taxes, and just NJ politics/laws, it's beyond time to leave. Ironically, people our/my age are leaving this state in flocks. Our area is an infiltrate of Phila, NY and other places that want to live at the shore. Problem is, there is just no more room!!! :hair: And, they still keep coming. Where there used to be rancher style houses, people are flattening them and putting 3 and 4 story homes on them. Then housing prices go up, taxes go up and so on, the vicious cycle continues... :headbang:

Not what I would call "make out" but if I roll the full amount over into NH, I'll be happy. I'll basically have a new house from the sale of this place. NJ has an "exit tax" but it's in reality a capital gains tax. They want their's!!! There is a way around it but you have to be cagey. My biggest issue is not accruing debt, or as minimal as possible.
