Most want 15 amp circuits and cords, some want 20. Cheat on the cord gauge and the voltage drop makes heat. Heat at the plug connections and heat at the motor can shorten its life. Even old, tarnished plugs and sockets can cause heat and opens. I've had an old snowblower that wouldn't start using the most convenient outlet . I had to replace the outlet and the arc damaged plug on the extension cord. Neither were under-rated, just old. I have ten or twelve gauge 25 foot extension cord for mine but never tried a 14 or 16. Manual warned against it. I was putting some rather large oak rounds on it. Easy to start bending things if not careful.
I have learned a great deal in these seven cords . I haven’t had a fire yet . I brought a v 200 home today and found out all the wood I cut 18” and longer won’t fit . Still happy to have the furnace, I’m thinking radial arm saw in the basement Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Been there done that...cut 6" off every split all winter long ...part of the reason I decided to go to the larger VF100...but I have ~20 cords CSS to 20-22" too...

That's cool...be interesting to hear what they charge for such...I heard Dale say they do it from time to time. Is that an intake right above the loading door? Certainly different that newer models...does it have the modern computer control? I guess the early ones had some type of electro-mechanical controls on them (I think Daryl is still using one in his house?) (it may be updated now though...)
Calling my first pile done. I learned a TON!! Burnt a little birch bark and quickly realized it was not the best use of my daylight. Snowing right now and 6 “ is predicted overnight.
