I'm not really a scrounger, but across the road from us there has been lots of logging going on. I just went around one of the loading areas to take some pictures of what was left. And there is another loading area that I did not get pictures of! Then in addition, I've been invited to cut the tops that are left! Some tops can be a lot of work but a lot of these tops still have a good portion of the trunk so there is a lot of wood. More than I can use for sure.

Probably 95% is white oak; 4% red oak and maybe 1% maple but that might be high on the maple.

That's a scrounge Dennis. Just add to.the pile "a friend in need". It will get used one way or another.

    White oak is Primo stuff.
Never have too much of it...
Would be a waste if left to rot.
    A prime time scrounge!!

Perhaps more thought needs to be given to next years get-together?

Congratulations, you have identified an awesome scrounge! Not that you need one, but as said surely don't want it to go to waste.

That’s the easy stuff you can get even in the middle of summer. A lot of the work has already been done. Few hours in the morning, few hours in the evening. Before you know it it will be all home.

Take it where you can get it. I'd be all over that. Looks very accessible and no brush to deal with.

Looks like easy pickings for a tractor with a bucket and/or pallet forks.

That’s a great scrounge. There’s enough there that you can be real picky about what you take and what you leave.

I'll bring the mini skid & we can haul em home easy enough. Pull em with the winch & load em in the dump trailer.
