buZZsaw BRAD, that is a fine-looking BTU curing station you got going. Great job, I'm sure your friend will appreciate it.

Went later this afternoon with three 2x10's (not PT) for the front beam. Cut and installed them. More super cheap lumber from my Summertime Lowes score. IMG_1097.JPG

Set the back "beam" 2x4 last week and went today for a couple hours, cut and set some rafters. My friend pulled some wood from his garage loft and will utilize those for more rafters/braces etc. IMG_1146.JPG IMG_1145.JPG Ill set remaining rafters tomorrow and maybe some 1x4/1x6 roof strapping as well. Only had enough reclaimed 2x6 for the left and right bays. Needed 72' to do center bay and by coincidence i had 72' of 5/4x6 decking boards i bought for a buck each (i think) in another cull pack. Forklift damaged and moldy. (lats three pics) IMG_1132.JPG IMG_1133.JPG IMG_1134.JPG

Awesome work man, that’s going to look great when complete and filled with firewood. I bet your friend is excited.

Im sure he is. He is very busy so limited time. Id like to get him on some sort of three year plan, but he is on the one year plan. If you study the pics you can see wood and tarps abound so this will give him much better organization...i hope!
I "pay" him an annual rent of one cord of cut rounds for letting me store wood at his place. Something we started last Fall. I cut most of his wood. He has a borrowed splitter so he splits and stacks.

Park at the contractor entrance, go to the boss at the pro desk (or who is in charge of building materials) at Lowes and ask if the sell "cull" pack of lumber/boards etc. Dont know about the "other box store" i dont go there.
Priced at pennies on the dollar here when i get them. If you get badly warped pressure treated, set it out in the rain and let it get soaked. This will unwarp it for the most part. Ive used stuff like that for wood racks.

Sounds like a good deal, never heard of unwarping pt. Good info.
