    It's currently 39 outdoors here with a forecast of sunny/high 50's. Low 60's tomorrow.

Many times now going back to August. -16c/3f has been our coldest so far this season. That's unusually cold even for here but Mountain weather makes our region prone to extremes.

I don't think I have seen freezing temps here yet. Maybe 34 or 35 for lows.

I think our lowest temp this fall was 27 but lately we've been running temps from 30 - 34 with pine still providing the heat. There was some hardwood mixed in with the pine so I put that in a separate rack and some nights throw about three splits in with the pine.

Gorgeous Weekend in Indiana. Cut wood like a savage Saturday and did some shooting Sunday.
Neighbor with OWB and I are anxious for the temperature to drop.
    Let’s kick this mule!

I’d say. Good weather, doing wood, and shooting. You’re right. Only way that gets better is some burning! Enjoy!

The big stinker is when it starts to get warm in spring, and we are at 45° and inland a couple miles it's 60°. That's the biggest negative, because that happens a lot. The lake enhanced snow it's less of a bother to me.

I'm betting that you are like we are in the Spring; that is, we get a lot of NE wind. That would certainly chill you big time.

It really hasn't been cold enough for the hardwood at night but it was a nice change from all pine.

Depending on the weather, it looks like we'll start burning all hardwood at the start of November this year.

That’s crazy it’s that different that close. I could see how that would be bothersome. Think of it as a gift to burn longer.

There's also the days when it's in the mid 90's and humid inland, and going to the lake is 20° cooler.

The cooler temps is spring allow me to do more firewood work:thumbs:.
