    A big thank you to all of the veterans for their service to our country.

    This weekend I'm flying my Dad's old 48 star flag that he loved so much. I'm pretty sure he bought this just after WWII and it's still in great shape. Thanks Dad for your service … still miss you everyday.

    Great reminder Kroozer, I need to get my flag out on the front porch first thing tomorrow too.

    So sorry for your family's loss. It is indeed a solemn day. More than just a day to barbecue. I was a medic in Vietnam. I don't think most people understand the magnitude of the sacrifices these war heroes gave. Memories that weigh heavily on me every day. Indeed, freedom isn't free.
