Looks like some great wood. I see a couple sweet carving pieces in there... :D:emb:

I'll get you started with doing away with that hip pain and send you a PM with more. One of the primary things to reduce the pain and damage is stopping the inflammation. This comes in many forms but the first aid version of it is Turmeric & Ginger. I use both of them in a tincture form (herb extract in alcohol) several times a day as needed. Capsules work too but you wind up taking a lot of them. This is what I used for a long time till I started making my own. If you are on prescription blood thinners or cholesterol scam pills, you need to be careful of taking these as they thin your blood also.
Herb Pharm, Whole Rhizome, Turmeric, 1 fl oz (30 ml)
Herb Pharm, Ginger, 1 fl oz (30 ml)

Alternately, you could try this combination formula
Herb Pharm, Inflamma Response, 1 fl oz (30 ml)

The next is Solomon's Seal root. This is not only anti-inflammatory but increases your bodies production of the lubricating oil in your joints. World of a difference with this one.

Vitamin C is also not just anti-inflammatory but imperative for repair of the joints. The more damage/challanges your body has, the more of it you need. Personally, I take 10X the recommended daily amount, even more if I'm sick or have an infection.
This one is a bit pricey, but it high potency & very high absorption. When you're in the SHTF zone, this is the one to use. I always have two bottles of this at home.

I understand the inflammation part of it. I have tried tumeric and also glucosamine sulfate that supposedly boosts cartilage support. Neither worked for me. Ibuprophen works great for me, but I know it has its issues. I take Celebrex and it works too for the inflammation. But nothing really grows new cartilage that I need that is worn out between the ball and socket.

The pharma chemicals will actually inhibit healing. Best if you stay away from them if at all possible.

There are so many herb/vitamin products out there that are totally substandard & just don't perform. Herb Pharm I linked to is among the best there is. You will get results. Dr. Christopher's is another great brand Along with Walker Herbs that I linked to.

Regrowing the bone and cartilage is more complex but absolutely can be done, I'm living proof. It is a multi-faceted thing and you need to stop the damage first. Most people hate hearing it, but some diet changes may be unavoidable. Send me a PM and tell me about your diet and any other health issues you've had/are having.

This is my go to pain killer (Lookup - Herb Pharm Jamaican Dogwood at Vitacost.com - Can't get the link to post)

It's a fairly strong sedative so keep away from young kids and elderly as an overdose can be dangerous. It's great for nerve pain and will really help you sleep, which is when all healing takes place. Easily as strong as Ibuprophen, without the toxic side effects.
