We get inverted here. 34-36 several mornings while the CT Valley has had several frosts - including this morning. Low of 32* predicted tonight, have about 20 tomatoes greening up with a blanket over them.
I meant the plants (which I just pulled). The fruit was harvested in time. Once-frozen tomatoes don’t strike me as food.
We haven't even had frost here yet, let alone nowhere near freezing at night. I think it gotten down to 38 for a low so far. We're pretty close to Lake Michigan, so that's why we've been moderated and not gotten to freezing yet. Inland a few more miles it's frosted over many times and I think even frozen once.
Kinda. I look at it this way, it moderates the temps in spring from early frosts, and in fall from the first few frosts of the fall. But yes, we can get dumped on if the wind blows from the East at all. In big winter storms, we can and typically do get a lot more snow than inland a few more miles due to the lake creating more snow by sucking up the moisture from the open lake.
Interesting. I feel like the fog would cause frost but I guess not. It must have to do with the dew point temp and not being below it that morning. Welp, as long as your dry and warm inside. Cheers.
They are really nice and some of the units in my building are very expensive. We have the penthouse unit on the 41st floor that's 18 million, it's over 10,000 sq ft and the views are amazing.
