    If all goes according to plan, I won't be burning much wood this winter-- because I will be moving to a great house 5 mins from where I work and where the old lady works (different directions). And then, if all goes according to plan, we will resume burning the next year :)

    Hopefully you will love doing it as much as we did. Downsized from 5000+sq ft to 1000 sq ft, wife works 1/4 mile from home. NG is so cheap it would cost more to run a saw, LOL.

    Sounds like it will be a short period. If all goes right he will burn the winter after this.

    You can't get away from it I wouldn't think. There is nothing like the heat. Able to keep your house really warm. And unless you live in a small mega insulated home with a cheap NG supplier nothing is as cheap.

    If our place was super insulated, I'd have to buy a smaller stove.
    :doh:

    I don't think we can undo the change to wood heat. The consistency of temps is way better than forced air furnaces can offer.

    The only thing I'd like better than our current setup is radiant floor heat.
    :dex::dex:

    That could be difficult here since its concrete slab, no basement.
    :confused:

    Congrats Adam! It would be hard to leave that wood! Add it into the contract or take it with!
