E85 is a different animal than E10 pump gas.....

One will kill an engine not designed for it in short order, the other usually won't hurt it short-term......

We have no choice around here. Unless you are spending serious money on alternative fuels, all of our pump gas is E10. Winter or summer. It's workable if you have good fuel/equipment storage habits but I would like to see "off-road" fuel offered somehow.

My equipment dealer has gone to using canned Ethanol free fuel from Husqvarna for all of their showroom machines. $100 for 5 gallons. Gulp. o_O

Yeah I got a little ahead of myself. An e85 engine has to have much higher compression and lots of better anti corrosion material.Supposed to be 105 max blen, gov pushing 15-20%.Several years ago stations were tested around here(college, gov grant money) and almost all tests were 12-18%.So much for quality control.Still have a test kit in toolbox. When the blends first came out we used to see a fine brown dust plugging filters, burning up pumps.Found out something was happening (seperation) when temps got below -20.They have supposably cured this.

Ran the pressure washer for a bit today my daughter has a rush job getting ready for graduation open house, just a small deck and a porch to do, it ran OK with the choke half way. After that's done I'll see what I can do to get it to run right.
I got some pics of the carburetor I'll put up later maybe yall can ID the carb

If he would just go to the gas station by the race track I'm sure he could get some 110 octane to use for fires for a mere $9/gallon or so!!
