Lol i did go into the saw forum to get some help with my saw. Im also taking a big step in going to weldr daves on sat gtg. My wife always tells me i need friends.
Brad, the local police put a message on FB detailing which roads are closed in my town. You can bet I thought about hitching up the trailer and heading into the trouble spots Meh, don’t need to be bothering electrical and town crews or getting zapped. It’ll be there tomorrow. They usually just push it to the side of the road and leave it for a better day. Midwinter, glad everyone is ok on your end. Everyone stay safe out there.
We lost power in the White Mountains of NH from midnight to 4:30am. The wife & I drove back from Portland, ME last night ahead of it. Arrived about 7:30pm and it hadn't started raining yet as I moved the lightweight chairs from the deck to the garage. Needless to say the awesome foliage we had is coming down fast. The tree service is supposed to come this afternoon. They are going to take down a few hazard trees as well. I don't want any of this mess. As you can see, the property is very steep. It won't be an easy job.
I am so happy this Nor'easter is here!! Wood stoves soapstone is warming!!.. Without this wild wet and windy mess I'd have to wait!!
Glad everyone is safe. There is a tropical storm brewing in the Gulf right now. Probably just get some more rain.
Midwinter Molly, glad to hear your family made it through with only a major inconvenience! Scary stuff. Where in Malden do they live? Near the old hospital?
They live off Salem St., a little west of the Salemwood school. My DIL says the tree service came with their crane. She's not at the house though, so no pics.
Yea, like what, 60 or something?J/K Jeff. Might be a nice break from the heat though. Be careful cutting after the storm everyone.
I’m in SE CT. I was out cold courtesy of NyQuil overnight so I missed the real time action. I don’t see too much tree damage but the creeks are cranking.
