Ethanol claims another carb. My snowblower had its carb gunked into oblivion. Purrs like a kitten, now. A 25 year old kitten.

Sorry I'm late joining in the Birthday wishes - I wasn't online at all yesterday (except for work's intranet).

Had close to 2" of rain when I checked the rain gage at 4am the next morning. Then when I got homr fro work, it was at 2.75". Drainage are doesn't look to be ponded up  Although water entered the garage (under the door), it stayed over around its (small) drainage channel and didn't spread out which tells me the rain didn't all dump at once.

The rain has been doing it's thing..

I am happy that it has not been COLD out...the little stove is keeping the shack warm.....

Once we get into November I am sure the situation is gonna change a bunch.

The shells from Munchy (Larger and more uniform pieces) burn better and with the new controller the heat output is a fair bit better than things were with the old factory control.

Definitely helping keep the house cozy.....

Also..... now we have the option of 3 heat settings on the little stove .

The old controller left us with only 1

    (1) LOW was 10 seconds burn time and 1.8 seconds feed time.

The number 2 setting was only 5 seconds burn time and things got too hot and the shells could not burn up completely causing excess clinkering.

The #3 setting was only 3 seconds burn time between feed cycles.

    Way wonky.

Now we have Low at 10 seconds burn time with 3 seconds feed time...plus we can add more combustion air (Could not do that before) and this really makes a great fire

#2 setting is 8 seconds and #3 is 7 seconds of burn time between feed cycles...

Having the ability to "micro adjust" the air to the fire really makes life great.

The factory board had 5 heat selections and each setting had a specific blower speed for the combi fan....

#1 was a nice setting, but the feed rate was almost too low and until the fire had been burning a while it could almost burn out between feedings....

Adding more ON time to the auger really made life great.

I do not have any good way to measure the BTU output...but the house stays warmer with only the one stove running.

In years past we would have been shutting the wee stove off at around dinner time, and firing up the big one for the haul until morning...

In years past the little stove would not have been able to heat the place with outside temps below around 50 F

It's 40 F outside this morning..... Doing something right for sure...
Was 70 F in the house when I rolled out at 5 am

    I'm liking it

Not raining for a few minutes this morning....

Got busy and shuffled the load onto the big stove and let wee stove cool and then cleaned the filthy little beast

Did an LBT too...Definitely needed it.

Skunked up the sky with some nice brown soot

Went to help WeldrDave clean up limbs and small wood from his clearing operation. Came home and performed round 3 of mowing the leaves, which took about an hour. Wind is still fairly strong so had to plan which leaves to remove first so none would be blowing into freshly mowed areas. Doing laundry, cooking squash and playing on the internet now :)

Got some done today-not too bad. A LOT of leaves but the wind had dried them enough to be manageable. Left the back half of the lawn cleanup for Sunday

Still using the bagger mower as a vac-the back pack blower is in Kittery till the weekend. Mower is my preferred method for the lawn areas anyway. Blower is for all the wooded areas that need cleaning.

Although a lot of the trees are still green, some have started dropping within the past 3 weeks. 2nd round of leaf shredding today....boy, do I love Gator blades. You get done with 1 pass over the leaves, and the little pieces just disappear into the grass.
