Been watching pictures/videos on the Weather channel this morning. Lots of power outages and trees down in New England and the Northeast. Massachusetts hit hard. Anyone lose power? Any trees down in you area...hoarding opportunities? Post pics if you can. Nothing here in Southern Connecticut. Lots of leaves down, heavy rain and wind but thats it. The river in our ravine is running good. The rapids below us are louder after a good rain.
Wait for the dust to settle, if you’re out hoarding wood in this stuff chances are more may come down in the same spot as you stand and we don’t want to be short a fellow! Stay warm and safe. That wood can wait.
I have to clean up my yard. Tons of branches down. Next two months golf courses cutting down numerous trees. I’m waiting with baited breath North shore of Suffolk county is like post Sandy from what I hear. 83 mph wind gust confirmed
We're at the base of Mt. Washington and thanks to this dammed Nor'Easter, we can't even see the mountain.....lol Heard that the summit had some insane weather last night......
winds are subsided with gusts and no rain, no dust but lots of leaves have settled in the yard and gutters. Just blew them out too!
This happened to my son and DIL's house in Malden, MA at 3A last night...took out the power. Everyone is OK. My grandson slept through the ceiling punchout.
Lots of trees down along the coast. Don't know about inland. I copied pic's from the local rag and posted on another thread. Hows the folks in N.E. doin (storm) ?
Thanks, i dont venture to other sections of the forum that often. Seems most members read this section.
Quite a few thumps on the roof yesterday & last night. My yard looks like the aftermath of an areial minefield with all the branches everywhere. Glad I put the cat in the shop early yesterday... No trees down at least in my yard. Power was out in several areas around me but no opportunity to use my favorite German Lanterns this go round. Midwinter... Ouch! I can imagine that made somebody's eyes bug out when it came through the ceiling. My son would've slept right through it too.
Wow, now I know I should've brought my gear! Hope they get that taken care of quickly, Midwinter! Hope they are ok!
Intermittent power, and road closed, driving right now reminds me of an obstacle course.. Its raining and leaves are like big colorful snowflakes here!!
Just frazzled and inconvenienced. They will need a crane. I don't have the heart to ask for the wood, I'm sure they want it gone as quickly as possible.
Im going for a ride after work at 1:30, chainsaw in tow i have ti patrol the RR bed too with the atv, i always find stuff up there. My waterfall is riipin too
