back dump truck or dump trailer up to the bilco, raise bed about 3/4 with tailgate slightly opened and just toss it down.

Like that ;) actually I pull sideways now. Back up is good for two off loaders. For one sideways is less stress on the spine. For stacking like this pic I still back up. Stack both rows at the same time.
Logalanche??? I like it. New terminology :)

our family has always done it this way in all the houses. Can’t imagine going out in the snowy cold to get wood. Brrrrr

the one down side is watching your stacks disappear in the field so fast. Gets a little overwhelming at times. I’m running out of wooooood!!! LOL

Nice setup!!! I miss filling the cellar as I now have to throw 2/3 of a cord in each weekend. Nice work and enjoy!

you know I don’t cut and load. I have buttons for that :) Appreciate the offer but I still got all those nice oak logs to cut and stack. That’s gonna be fun. Nice stuff, no knots, no branches, no twigs. The stuff in the basement this year is still the old school wood. Everything scrounged in the woods, uglies, knots and twigs. It’s dry though, 15-18%. Driest wood I ever brought in the house. Burned a small load last night. Works niiiice.

Funny thing. My mother called it junk wood because it’s so light. Had to explain that’s because it’s not weighed down with water LOL

How bout this? You find a nice score of logs down there and I’ll come down and let you play with the buttons? LOL
Gotta warn you though. It’ll ruin you for life.
I’ll take a load home, why not? You have an area you can drop some sticks? Might as well get you some too.
Hey!! The little woman’s car is only parked in its spot for a few hours every day. You could claim eminent domain.
    Pot stirred. :)

    Great set up!

I have 65 degrees in the house this am. Most everyone besides me is getting a bit antsy for heat so it won't be long for us to light up. I only have one row plus a little and typically get 4 in my basement. So much to do, so little time to do it! I need a mental health day or two to get caught up. :smoke:

Saw those basement pics and thought - damm we are going to be cold this winter if that is how much I need. First season burning and I only have about 3 cord ready.
