    Ya me thinks as you that the chimney cooled and a down draft took place.This is what I love about my hearthstone one in the basement.It gives off enough heat long enough after the fire burns out that I can get to it before the chimney cools.I get 14 hours of useable heat from this stove.Long enough to get a good nights rest.Long enough to go to work and back to fill it up while it still maintains a draft and keeps a down draft from happening.

    Since these folks thought that running a generator inside was ok it makes me wonder what was the wood stove hook up like.

    I’m speechless except to sat that I hope those children are never allowed to return. With 20 visits from the police, I would think that child services should’ve been called by now.

    Would be sad though, that the people who those kids were borne from haven’t got a clue how to properly deal with situations like this safely and likely will pass down that “knowledge” to them. “Well I gotta live someplace”....outlines the definition of safety ignorance. I’m wondering why CPS wasn’t taking the kids from prior incidents too.

    Child protective services once involved first put a social worker in there and put together a service plan.The house is checked every two weeks and the adults are sent to parenting class or counseling.If the adults don't comply the children are then removed by court order before this madness takes place.

    Is that when they have to carry an egg around for a week without breakin it n they pass for a fit parent...:eek:

    When my nephews came to live to live with me that's what their parents did..
    I had an 22 YO Easter Seals worker.. 3 weeks in she was asking me questions..

    No it's more counseling than anything else.If a worker was in there no generators would have been going inside.

    I'm trying my very best to not be political, but where were the service workers after the shooting?

    I live in a state where the powers that be salivate at the chance of removing a person's firearms.

    I don't know the circumstances involved, but seriously, a shooting within the household, they couldn't even be bothered to clean up the shell casings.

    I'm not convinced counseling will correct this situation.
