I've been living in my Thorogood Wellingtons for 6 months or so. They are a side zip and have been pretty durable. Model- 804-4440. Very little heel slip, even in hiking conditions.

If those are waterproof, I'm in.
Thinking just a 1/2 second about it, by the time I got those done, I'd have forgotten why I was doing it.........and be too tired for it anyway. :BrianK:

Pricey for sure, but they last me 3-4 years and I wear them pretty much 7 days a week.

The Wellingtons are more what I'm looking for but shorter.
Found some wingtip boots on the Timberland site. Never liked wingtips.

Redwing guy here. I understand the tying thing kinda gets to you and I feel the same way. If I’m working on the woodpile I will tie up my redwings if I’m just kickin it; bringing a load of splits into the house or watering the garden then I slip on the keens

I have Rocky slips ons and like them. I paid $59.00 at the Rocky store for them.

They're waterproof and seem to be holding up well. First thing I did was put Sno Seal on them.

I got them this spring.. My guess would be just OK.., but not great. They are steel toe also if you want that.

The Rocky outlet store is close to me in Nelsonville Ohio, so I'm not sure what they cost normally.

Don't need steel toe, so I'll look into those w/o.

I get that, but when I get 20 years out of a pair of $100 Rocky's that I wear a good amount, certainly not 7 days a week, but a couple times a week longer that time it's quite good.

I ordered these on fri last and they were waiting for me when I got home today! Yeah, they're rockys and lace up; but they're insulated and waterproof and I've had my eye on them for around 5 years now...….

But papadave you do have me thinking about the advantages of those slip on styles! They'd be just right for going out and firing up the OWB, no?

I bought a pair of Muck Artic Ice Boots a couple years ago, they are warm as can be, but they are way to tight on my calves.

Just noticed when I went to get this picture that they sell a wide calf version!! :picard:If only I knew then, I would have had a home for my extremely muscular calves!!

Curious how these fit, Dave yooperdave . I normally wear a size 10.5, but have on a pair of slippers that are 11, and wear a pair of running shoes (which is no longer appropriate for me) that are 10s, I think.
My old Rockys are 10, but slightly too big. So weird.
