Ran a barrel of the new shells through MUNCHY after tossing the stuff through a 1 inch screen.

HERE IS MOST OF WHAT WE GOT IN THE WAY OF TIMBER....
    Only jammed Munchy once..

Great shells...I could do nicely without all the "Cord wood" though......

1st, and definitely not last, round of leaf pickup done. At this point it will likely be an every weekend thing until done.

X2 - typically 5-6 straight weekends once it starts. And don’t miss one or you will regret it!

I mowed the leaves this mornign. I did do some raking at the edge of the yard, where I raked them into the trees so they have some mulch. Also raked the drainage area between my fence and the neighbor's yard - raked those into the trees also.

Took a nap then started watching the Chiefs' game but decided I needed to get out and start my next year's yard project. The prep involved digging up some turf and covering it with a double layer of landscape fabric. I need to get some black plastic to place on top of that to smother anything that tries to emerge next spring, but it's a start anyway.

We don't mind leaf clean up days. A great excuse for a fire, the grills, and a few beers! We blow the leaves into the woods, no picking them up and dumping them. Did I mention beers?

Went with a friend yesterday out to scout for deer.

Had a great day...no deer.... relaxing time though.

Tossed the Sat phone in the rig and put the travel antenna on the roof of the truck.

Sweet deal..WE were out in the coastal Mt's and cell service is NON EXISTENT !!!

If we were in heavy forest and no good shot of the sky the signal would drop, but it only take an opening in the tree branches and you're good to go.

Great tool to have when in the bush.....

Looks like today will be a day to crush shells and get ready for the rains that are coming..
