Thanks T.Jeff, should be a good one, going to look at leaves with my husband and spend a little time in WeldrDave's woods.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. One more night to go this week...our town is having the Kaolin Festival weekend, parade is this morning, my hunny and daughter/ grandson are going. Think I'm going to pass this year, might clean up some more chunks at the woodyard and blow leaves off the front porch and beauty spot while they're dry. Got an idea for a bin made with plastic pallets to try. Maybe it will work.

Have a safe and fun day. Share the views with us. Haven't gotten much color here, mostly brown from drought. Just a little in this creek bottom, mostly sycamore. IMG_20191005_121752309_HDR.jpg

Good morning everyone! Fun day today as mentioned, then tomorrow a yard day- we have to blow out the water from the pool lines. We use an old vacuum cleaner that goes in reverse. Maybe I'll clean out the shed as well.
Yesterday I stripped some bark off some black locust rounds that had been sitting for a year. It came off easily, some helpful little grubs had been eating the inner bark, but didn't touch the wood. I moved the rounds back to my splitting area, to have them handy during the winter. Seems like all I'm doing lately is shuffling wood around. At least I can burn some of my problems now! Someone here, I forget who, makes a point of burning all his chunks, uglies, and punky bits first thing in the fall. I'm going to do that, too.
    Have a great day everyone!

For sure I'll take some leaf pics. We don't have a lot of sassafras, just small ones, but I noticed some pretty pinkish leaves on one the other day. Do you get that down your way?

Yes ma'am, we have some smaller sassafras, they usually turn red or orange, I think.

    Good morning.

Too wet and drizzly here to do much in the yard.

So.... I'm picking up a buddy and we'll be off to a fairly new TSC. I'm needing some bird seed and it's on sale there. Of course, I'll find myself wandering through their firewood stuff aisles.

Stay safe regardless of your activities.

Much, much better weather here except a bit windy. Present temperature is 45. A bit of sun but not a lot.

Never did go for a car ride, it was too gray and raw. So we dealt with the pool lines instead. We'll go tomorrow.

That wasn't on sale...still cheaper than dealer oil or Poulan oil at Walmart. Some TSC stores had it for 2/$10 or 2/#14...
