Will your area or ours get it first? I hope mother nature gives me enough time to fell, split and stack another five ash along with the 4 cord that needs stacking that;s already split or in rounds.
Thanks T.Jeff Veal , hopefully I get enough done that the lot the house is on will look better. I heard you needed some pine!
I think shipping is cheaper heading NORTH, so I'll send it to you, cook off your maple syrup with it...
Only mother nature knows who'll get it first. I too hope for another few weeks of nice temps. Maybe we'll get snow prior to deer season
It was a day off from cutting so I cleaned some chains that needed sharpening and spent time with the grinder. After the chains were done, we went for a long ride for some leaf peeping (colors are still very nice in this area) and then went out for a pizza and ice cream. I almost forgot that we put two smaller loads of pine in before we went for pizza and ice cream.
I did get some good rounds from this tree that mother nature felled so tomorrow I'll buck this last piece up, hopefully there's some good wood in it but if it's all rotten, it will go to the wood dump.
I did finally get most of the old rotting maple bucked up, we'll get some good wood from it along with the good rounds I bucked up a while back. When I was near the end of the bucking, I put the saw down and applied the chain brake but when I went to take it off, the plastic broke on the chain side so I grabbed another saw and finished.
Haha who knows, its about 3 or 4 big cherry trees and a couple small maples... I still have a bunch to go... It is hitting that oddly satisfying sweet spot for sure, and it smells great!
Impressive mound. Hows the scrounging out in your area? Asplundh has gone nuts cutting around me and im having a field day hoarding wood here in North Haven.
Its decent, I'm in newlondon area, once word of mouth gets out your a hoarder you need to turn stuff away. All this is blow down from the in laws and they burn too so it will be used up fast
