Yea my 395 is a heavy drinker, but nothing compared to my old 084av that takes about a half gallon to fill up.

So I took some of your advice! I changed cutters from grabby to aggressive and let her rpms run up..... cut a cord of hedge in 38 minutes granted it was a big tree it did out perform the 440, I just had to listen to her needs. Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it!!!

I say set up a few logs on a stand and time both the 440 and the 572 xp with brand new chains. At least that way you have a apples to apples comparison and you can check this again after 20 tanks to see if you improved. Note the wood type and diameter of course!! Enjoy and welcome.

So I put it next to the 440, it is smoother, weight is about the same, it was like comparing Ford to Chevy lol. They both have things I like and things I don't! I do like the husky push down to kill.

I will put a season on it and see, she ate the hedge (osage orange)dead or alive like a champ. The love for her is growing, kind of like bad beer.... eventually it's not so bad!!

I always wanted a 660 or 88, but I cut for home use. About 10 cord a winter and never could justify. I am addicted to wood, I study the grain before I split lol. There is just something about wacking and stacking! I am envious of my counterparts in the north woods, some of those trees give me wood thinking about splitting them! Lol

I've run 562's and 550's, no 572 yet. What stood out the most to me, they are the smoothest cutting saws I've ever used. Excellent anti-vibe.
