Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Probably put the pool cover on this morning, then see what time I have left. Need to cut a yard but that's a 3 hr job, might have to wait another day. Got some odd chunks shorties I can get in a barrel, need to move some barrels onto plastic pallets, use the cap blocks they are on for the new wood shed floor support. In case y'all haven't heard, wildwest dad passed away last night. Keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Good morning everyone! We are expecting an October gale, with rain and high winds. This should knock all the pine needles down! I mowed up 5 lawn bags full yesterday. Last year the same thing happened, high winds, and they all came down at once. So much better than having them sprinkle down through December.
I'm tempted to sneak out to Winchester today, before the rain starts. Although there might not be much rain that far west. I'd like to see some red maples before the leaves get blown down.
    Have a decent day everyone!

It looks like we'll be having highs in the low 50's by the weekend. Windy on Sunday won't be so nice but it seems we always get that in October. Fortunately the leaf change is not so far along that we'll lose too much so hopefully we'll still get good color for a couple of weeks.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Got to go get paperwork done for mama to be transferred to facility close to home. Then go to Macon where she is and get her belongings from her room. They will transport her, don't think she would like the 65 mile ride in a small car right now. Still working nights, so nap time after that.

Good morning everyone! The rain is turning out to be a no-show. Just gray skies and an occasional sprinkle. I'll be able to get some more wood in the basement today.
The cat has been busy restocking the house for winter. In the past two days she's brought in a live chipmunk, mouse, and sparrow. Those are the ones we know about. We've managed to get them out of the house.
It's chilly enough for a little fire, but I have to finish up with the stove gasket project. We used the wrong density first, got the right gasket from the Jotul dealer, now have to remove the wrong stuff and lay in the right stuff. I'll try and do that today. Maybe if the cat can lie by the stove, she'll slack off from the hunting.
    Have a great day!

Morning all. Hoping to get an answer from company on my bow. Can't use it like it is so no hunting until it is fixed. Hoping to get an answer today. If not, last evening I had an offer from a friend (where we cut that big oak last spring) to use his bow until mine is fixed. A generous offer.

Are you needing to cut new wood there, or still gathering pieces that were cut awhile ago?

Actually, I just dropped off some granite cobbles for a fire ring, and loaded some brush to take to the Nashua dump.
