Started moving a few taco loads into the garage. First fire will be Sunday night. I also spotted a large caterpillar, about 5” long, next to the wood pile. It’s much larger than the wooly caterpillars I am used to seeing. The picture doesn’t show it, but it’s body was orange.

    Don't know.
I still get "stumped" (get it? :picard:) occasionally.

Had one of those wooly caterpillars this past weekend.

Saw these two just now when I went to the house for more refreshments.

I started moving splits too. Didn't see any wooly bears but did see where a snake shed its skin and a dead mouse in his house.

Old timers say it’s going to be a rough winter when the wooly bears are all black.

Good year for wooly bears around these parts, we've got a ton of them!

Don't think Taco is FHC specific, Brad. Maybe the term just skipped CT because it can't afford the taxes? (Said the guy in Taxachusetts!! Lol!)

Set my knife down for a minute while building my lean-to shed. Saw this little critter which should indicate a very mild winter..
