First fire today! Don't really need it but both of us have been under the weather and the electric furnace just don't cut it! Weather front moving in bringing cooler temps and rain so this will feel good later tonight. Right now two opposite windows are opened upstairs to allow some of the heat to escape and let some of the "first fire" stove stink blow out. In a few hours that will be gone for this year and we will close them up. firstfire10-12-19.jpg

It appears there aren't many now who have not had their first fire of the year.

Screenshot_20191007-202656_Weather.jpg I'll be firing the stove back up on Wednesday night, going to be cold for October.... No weather, just cold dry air coming in the area.... They're actually calling for a "Red Flag" warning Wednesday with wildfire warnings, due to the wind and low humidity, 10 to 15% during the day and 30 to 35% at night...

None yet here either. Getting closer... we'll see what the fam says today since the high temp is only supposed to be 62, and there's some breeze out there. House temps have been staying in the 67 to 70 range overnight even now, so we're hanging in.

No fire here yet. Probably Friday night and Saturday. Forecast is saying Friday night low *46 and Saturday high of *59 with rain.
Don.t think I am going to convince the women that is warm enough.

I'm going to start a fire tonight. It's in the low 50s right now and supposed to get down to 27 tonight. In the low 30s high 20s for the next few nights so I'll have a fire going.
