    Well now..
Oven baked as pile of lovely Choc. Chip cookies last night.

Settings were a tad HOT as compared to the way it worked before the blowup....

Was lovely day yesterday...I crushed up 3 more barrels of shells that we had left from our late spring haul. (3 left to do)

I really want to get everything done before we start hauling in the new product for this season....

So nice yesterday that even at bed time the house was still reasonably comfy.....left the fire off through the night.

    64 F at 0-DARK THIRTY...In the house..

Big boy doing its thing as I write this....

House will be warmed up in a while....

Rainy weather on the way....much cooler on the backside of the storm..... 3000 Ft Frz levels....
    Will definitely feel like fall...

    LIFE IS GOOD...WELL SORT OF

Called the shell plant this morning (Co we have used for the past 27 years) and got the final word on shells for this season.... NO....They are not going to service the small clients any longer. :(

But we are on track for this coming Friday with their competitor to pick up a load.

No more having to write checks...new folks accept debit cards too..

The plan is to hook the outfit up today and be ready to roll Friday morning...

3 cents a pound....not as good as the old price of 1-1/2 cents a pound...butttttttttttttttttttttt at least we are good to go....

We really do not need any shells for at least a month or so, buttttttttttt I'm gonna get while the getting is good and get our foot in the door and make friends.. :handshake:

We have plenty of barrels...so why not.

The stuff keeps really well as long as its barreled up..

We are working on stuff that's at least 3 years old...maybe more....

Yikes, still haven’t cleaning the flues here. Waiting for a frigid weekend morning so I can get up on the roof without getting chased off by the bees!

Looks like we’ve reached maple leaf and pine needle drop season. Let the cleanup efforts begin.

The oaks will drop leaves starting in the next few weeks. They always go last, and are the most “fun” to clean up.
