I know im posting this a little bit late but i figured id post some pics feom stoveaclaus and woodhamster helping out his parents. We loaded wood, crushed trout, and sipped on the fine elixir known as labatt blue. ASNR! Shown in the picture is Stoveshamster catching a trout in the Esopus. Also, you can see the effects of the EAB on a split of Ash.
For a brief second Stoveclaus thought about bringing some Ash back to Long Island to diversify his woodfolio, however, as an elite stovesman Stoveaclaus owes it to everyone to stop the apread of the EAB. Stoveaclaus will get Beech instead in order to diversify the woodfolio. ASNR! Anyone enjoy hoarding Beech?!?
I'll be burning my first beech ever, in a couple of months. I had ordered 3cord of logs a few years ago. There was some beech logs included. It's been CSS'd for 3 yes. Looking forward to heating with it.
Stoveaclaus and Woodhamster are you two like Brokeback Mountain? You guys do everything together, do you have families, wives, fiancés? Wtf?
I’ve been burning for a long time. Have my own stove since 2012. A Hampton Insert with automatic blower. Heats my entire colonial house As far as Stoveaclause and my “relationship “ goes.... We’re buddies. I motivated him to join the stove community. I’ve taken him under my wing and now he is a trueStovesman and catching trout on the fly on his own. He’s engaged and I’m married with two kids but yes we’ve gone upstate together for Eric Church concerts, fishing and stovesmanship. Two hard working hard playing American males enjoying the outdoors. Sometimes the holidays may interfere though.
Have you ever tried Hannah Swamp? It’s a wonderful resort for male bonding! Golf, fishing and drinking, a wonderful woodsman environment!
I have some mixed in with my hoard. Scored some roadside back in August. See my thread Wasnt Planning a Beech Day, but its Summer and im a Hoarder! Is that you pushing the wheelbarrow Stoveaclaus ?
Was there a FHC membership drive in Long Island recently? Welcome to the FHC BTU BOB . Great that youve joined the land of btu's
