Good morning fire lovers. :MM: It was a busy and enjoyable three day weekend.

Friday night our two oldest teenagers had some friends over for a bonfire. They have started having one each week and rotating through different houses. There were about 15 of them that are 15 y.o.. That was interesting. Glad they are getting together and having fun though. Between pallets and large splits of Pine I kept them supplied with firewood so they would be warm.

Saturday turned out to be the concrete going on and moving firewood under the porch. Between my son and I working here and there we moved about 6 face cord under cover.

Sunday consisted of a day off from everything. We took our kids and my wife’s parents up to Saranac Lake area and the kids and I went through a corn maze while my wife and her parents waited at the barn sitting on a picnic table and visiting. Then we all went for a late lunch in downtown Saranac Lake. I think it was called The Blue Moon Cafe. Very good food and a nice atmosphere.

Now it’s raining here again, ugh. And time to go back to work. Double ugh! Oh well.

My brother told me another joke the other day....
How did the farmer find his wife?

Ugh, back at it this morning, and the anxiety is back through the roof. Now I know what a prisoner feels like waiting on a jury verdict. another couple of weeks before I know for sure if I'm going to still have a job or not

Hang in there. Everything will work out okay. You are a smart, talented person who will figure it out no matter what happens.

Our labs have quite the personality. I love that about them. But these 2 are polar opposites. Granted, Badger is an American lab, and William is an English lab (and apparently a polar bear ). Badger is all about retrieving and is full of energy, William, is all about dinking around and while he has athletic spurts ( usually jumping), he's nowhere the race horse type that Badger is.

This picture just cracks me up. I repeatedly caught badger checking himself out in the mirror at one of the hotels on the trip.

It can be nerve wracking, but hang in there. Things work out in the long run.

Getting the cottage ready for the big freeze coming up. Boat is out of the water but the good news is the walleyes are starting to bite once again from the dock. No great size to them, just "pan-sized"!!!

I wish we had a better walleye fishery here. I have only gotten to try them once, them are good!

I pulled the boat yesterday, as it was supposed to rain all day today, and then cold and rain for the better part of the next 10 days. Of course today ended up being beautiful, and would have been perfect for the boat.

I guess it's for the best though. I launch from a neighbors yard, and I wouldn't want to back down his lawn after all the rain we're gonna get.

Just resting today. Friday morning took wife to Saginaw for mri. Then took her home and headed to Ohio for a gtg. Got home yesterday afternoon. My back took a beating and today was the worst of it. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Might get into the 30's tonight. No doubt a fire in stove will be in order tomorrow morning.
