Thanks. Yeah I was kinda surprised to find no vehicle damage as the impact was pretty violent...but it looks like the deer basically just went under the truck, (specifically the right tires) there was only a little fur on the front air dam. Really woke me up though, popped up over a little hill and there they were...I hit the brakes, but a F250 pulling a trailer at 55 MPH isn't gonna stop on a dime, and there was a car coming the other way too...so nothing to do but steer within my lane and attempt a narrow miss. I guess running over a deer is about like hitting a parking block at 55  and then when the trailer went over that made for another jolt too.
Just glad I wasn't in my car or the wife's van...would certainly have been a police report and an insurance claim involved.

Glad you didn't swerve. Lots of folks do and then wreck, causing more damage than hitting the deer.

Exactly what I was telling my son...he is 4.5 YO and this all prompted 20 questions (or more) about why I ran over the deer, will the deer go to the doctor, etc etc etc.
I told him I didn't want to hit the deer, but since he jumped out in front of us at the last second, it left me no choice since I couldn't stop, and swerving would have meant hitting the #3 deer, (instead of #4) and that other car, and that would cause lots of damage and then we would probably have to go the hospital too.
