    It’s 60 outside but I just chucked a few cutoffs on the coals from this morning just to watch the flames.

    Started a small fire last night as it was forecast in low 30's overnight.

    Don't like hearing the oil dragon when I'm trying to sleep.
    :headbang::mad:

    Chazsbetterhalf threw on a couple splits this AM.
    :picard:

    Last time I was in the house it had cooled down to 76.
    :eek::faint:

    :rofl: :lol:

    We had ours if a Cub Scout camping trip counts. Naturally the first night it’s dropped into the lower 40’s. State park makes you buy their “seasoned” wood at $5 a milk crate to prevent the spread of EAB, couldn’t help but notice every ash I saw in the state park was dead, state for that matter, but it makes for a great excuse to gouge for revenue. Burning oak that’s been split and seasoned for a few months in a camp fire with wind is horrible because of the smoke. Important part is that the boys had a great time and already want to go again! I am going to figure out how much wood I would have left over if I could sell my wood at that price and buy a new F350 diesel figuring 65k driving it off the lot.

    Never mind with the how much wood I would have, did the math, 101 cords is a lot of wood

    Ok guys and gals. I thought we'd be holding off, but I was just asked my wife if we could have a fire tonight. And just now she says "It's chilly!"

    Ok ok....

    :thumbs::fire:

    It's kinda funny, I've not necessarily been looking forward to the first fire, but I got it going & Chazsbetterhalf turned the tv off & we both just sat watching the fire.

    :)

    Well that didn't last long. Someone's in his spot within a minute of lighting the fire.

    Yep started the first fire on Oct. 2. Had one today too. It is cooling off enough at night now to get the house cool in the morning and so it needs a little warming up from the ugly pile.

    Lol, it isn't. Because it's not available here. I bought some while I was in Ohio the other day.

    Now to the West of the Mississippi comment. :whistle:

    You can buy it in Arkansas and Louisiana, which are West of the Miss.

    We're east of the Mississippi River, as that is our border with Minnesota. But it's still not available here. We've got enough great beers here though. You know, in the beer capital of the world. ;)

    They teamed up w Hershey for a chocolate porter. It’s supposed to be released Oct. 15th

    99% of the pics of me w a beer in my hand is a lager lol. My family worked there for 3 generations.

    Working in the garage today. Planing and ripping oak boards for a project I'm working on. What better way to get rid of scrap cutoff and strips.

    I'm not a porter drinker, but that's a cool in state collaboration. :)

    I'm always down to try a new beer! Never even seen that brand before (West coaster...)
    I'm heading to Alabama in a few weeks for work, you think it's available near Birmingham? :coldone:

    Find Our Beer - Yuengling

    The finder works good. It's easier if you find the zip code for the town you are in, then the map will show you where to buy it. Bars and stores.

    It's very popular on the east coast. You'll have no problems finding it

    I was never good with geography. :headbang:

    I heard they teamed with Hershey. Not a big fan of that combo. If I wanted my beer to taste like chocolate, I would get a hershey bar with my case of lager.
