Recently received my new ported muffler. We shall see the gains I get on my Husqvarna 450. I opened up the high jet 1/3 turn and seems to run great. I put it through 12” silver maple and I swear it’s faster, instantly IMG_6247.JPG

It probably is faster!! More out more in equals more power.

Is that guy on the saw forums? He must be!!

I think it’s maxed out now. Now more improvements. I’m not on any saw forums. A group on Facebook. His name is Ryan

You could kind of call this a saw forum...maybe? Some are here for saws. Most now will frequent other sites and many are not here often at all since OPE forum started.

Great looking job on that muffin! He really does good work.

With just a muff mod, it's not @ max. There are guys that can "port" that cylinder to increase performance, some times up to 40% faster cutting times in the same log after they are finished. They change port timing, increase flow and advance ignition timing to name the biggest changes. Sometimes the saw can benefit from a larger intake boot/tract from a larger cc saw after the work is done. It's really crazy how much difference between stock and modified.

It's technically not a forum, as a FB group, but essentially, yeah, it's a forum.

That looks like a very nicely made piece. Does he do dolkita mufflers too? Not like I need mine to be any louder, but...,

I was talking about forums. Not about the FB group where he found him.
