Good morning everyone! It's showery this morning, it will be on and off for the next few days. Yesterday I moved more wood into the basement. Today I need to get the cover on the pool, and the waterbags filled up around the edge. The water is up to the level we normally leave it at over the winter.
Also, I'm going to pick up 45 polypropylene grain bags, from a Craigslist offer. I don't need 45, but that's what he's getting rid of. I want to try them out as storage containers for wood chunks and scraps in the basement. I have been using washtubs, but they take up a lot of room.
There was a raccoon outside this morning, eating the grapes that grow outside the screened in porch. My husband saw a cow moose while driving to work yesterday, on a well- travelled side road.
    Have a great day everyone!

Running the 953 C today clearing a place on the Ohio River for a friend to build a house. He will have an awesome view when this is finished. A pic from yesterday.

My friend Charlie is buying it. He does construction so it fits him well. That pays for my boat!

Got the driveway started up the hill. All the scrub trees on the river bank will be eliminated. Split a tooth in half. They cost $50 at Cat. You can buy them for half that but if a Cat tooth fails in any way they will replace it.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. We are going to have a split-fest this morning. We got the rounds cut and both splitters staged behind the dump trailer. Paying a blessing forward. Taking a load to a lady with cancer. Got a few pictures from yesterday and I will take more today. I'll start another thread about it, so others can share the FHC spirit too. When the GOOD LORD blesses you with something, take the opportunity to share with others.
    Remember the Golden Rule.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday I got the pool covered and the waterbags filled, just in time as the pine needles have begun to fall, and chipmunks (2) were leaping to a watery death.
I also cemented the new gaskets to the stove doors, but now we're having a problem getting the doors to latch. My husband put a ratchet strap around the stove, to try and slowly compress the gaskets. I hope it works.
Millions of things to do today before my trip. And rain is supposed to start about 10A and continue all day. My car may not get vacuumed, it's full of sawdust and wood dirt.
    Have a great day!

Good morning folks. Hope all is well and everyone has a great day. Midwinter I just replaced my door gasket and it was tuff getting door to latch.
Used manufactures recommended rope size. I left it closed for a day then opened and closed it a couple times. Built a fire like they said.
I really started to notice drop off of heat last year, I think it will make a difference.

I stopped at the gift shop on top of Hogback mountain in Vermont. 45° here! Lots of color on the maples. No rain, just gray. IMG_20191003_37344.jpg
