Here's the newest addition to the lineup. This minty 372XPW has just 5 tanks of fuel run through her. It's all original but had some expert TLC. The cylinder was cut by Mastermind and the port work done by mdavlee. I'm looking forward to putting her to work Saturday morning.
I'm often jealous or envious of another man's equipment. But that saw is a rare one in today's world. It has the 75 cc Jug. It's not the new 71 cc XPW. That is one mean saw. If there was one saw I could trade my 460 for? It would be that Minty Saw right there! Glad you got it buddy! Really.. It went to a deserving home.
This saw would make a good head to head race against my MS 460.. Wanna take a trip to Ohio? Or better yet, are you gonna try and make the mid-west GTG on June 21st?
On the Log Bucking Trailer thread, Hedgerow posted, "Looks like they're planning another GTG in Ill end of June. Near Cordova Ill June 21 is the date at this moment.." Sounds like is should be a fairly short drive for you.
The Quad Cities GTG should be a fairly certain "go" for me. It's within an hour and a half drive. We went and put the Husky 372XPW in wood this morning and all I can say is WOW!!! This thing is an absolute beast! I ran almost two tanks through it getting into the big stuff at my scrounge pile. We cut to length then had to noodle them just to get them to manageable sizes to load onto the trailer. This saw owns a 24" bar. I even did one big round with my 362CM fitted with a 20" bar and she did quite admirably. That was all she got to do though as I had to run the Husky some more. Here is the big hoss in cut. This is my boy who provides the muscle for our wood operation. He's not a huge fella but it gives some idea of the size of the wood we're in. And here is the load we brought home. We got some manageable logs in the bed of the truck and my quartered big ones on the trailer. We probably could've put more on it, but we have a 45 mile drive and have to go through a fair amount of city so I don't over do it. I see a couple of more ported saw in my future. My 362CM and Husky 545 might both be taking a ride soon.
