My friends BIL was moving to Florida and he was getting the furniture for himself and his daughter lives in Grafton, MA. I was a paid laborer for the day. Ended up getting the Uhaul in Brookline, then to Nashua where he lived. Ill be in Manchester on Friday and Saturday next week.

im feeling it now myself. The moving job Tuesday wasnt that demanding. Most of day on the road and Wednesday was easy work day. Delivered some wood yesterday and worked a score today (posting new thread shortly)
I just commented to GF that im tired (not damm), but in a good way. I did all four of the processing tasks today as well. More wood tomorrow afternoon as well.

IMG_20190928_56962.jpg IMG_20190928_4305.jpg I just met the nicest fellow! He's young, handsome, and gives his wood freely! Seriously, Woodwhore gave me a warm welcome out at the quarry, he showed me around and did I mention he gave me some wood? Mostly black birch!
He's a friend now, and I think I talked him into coming out to WeldrDave's in October.

Thanks Midwinter I enjoyed meeting you as well. Nice to talk with someone that shares the same passion for firewood. I was quite surprised how much wood we fit in your suv. I already told my wife about October. It sounds like a good time. Finally i could log in to the site, its been a couple of days. Whitney (my wife) was giving me crap cuz i kept trying to sign on and couldn’t. She was like dont worry Chris it will be ok if you cant talk to your buddies for one day.

That fresh stack in the back is that red oak from Whits friend, plenty more of that left too. 7D845F95-E6EA-4A14-8036-DDE04177E8D9.jpeg

I hope you can make it out Woodwhore, I'm about an hour from you I'm guessing. Seems shorter when I look at the map. I'm sure Molly told you where it is and you most likely know the area well. It's easy, "when your looking for it" but you can miss my road if your not paying attention, it's kinda out of the way of view.

Ive been singing/humming/whistling that since last week when i procured that score Woodwhore . Cut some from my other score this morning..."Asplundh giveth". It was the Sugar maple and was happily whistling away!
Nice looking work/wood BTW, and yes it is nice when you can back right up to it! Im liking that more and more and getting spoiled by it as well.
