Good afternoon all. Thanks for sharing all your pics of your vacation with us. Really enjoyed them.
Hope your mom is doing well with the start of her rehab.
Mid 70s today. Probably about one of the last I'll see. The extended forecast is expected in the 50/60s.

    Thanks, we enjoyed it too.
Mom is doing ok. Going to see her again in a bit. Wish we had 80's...at least the humidity is way down, good wood drying weather. Hope my weather station is wrong, just got in from cutting the two yards. IMG_20190925_161443611.jpg

I forgot to post a couple pictures of when we got home and went to stop by our daughter's house. About 100' from her driveway, this fat one was in the road. IMG_20190924_193353904.jpg Don't get mad at me for the final results. To close to her house. Found out the little Elantra will spin a wheel... IMG_20190924_193530102.jpg

Good morning everyone, we are supposed to get a good soaking this afternoon, another reason to put off painting the last little bit of pool. Today I'll split the last of the oak wood, and wait for the call to go car hoarding! I've been fortunate lately, wood has been offered to me instead of my having to hunt for it.
I'm concerned for all our members whose elderly parents are having health problems. There seems to be more lately. I feel fortunate that I still can live my life on my own terms. I wish the same for all of you.
    Have a good one!

Wow. I see folks posting during times when I've not been able to get on. Maybe the problem is at our end but I could not get on yesterday afternoon. I had been on the forum but suddenly it went dead. Got on for a short time last evening then same thing happened. Same thing again this morning. I was on then lost it. Weird.

Just about ready to take Judy to neurosurgeon in the big city. In one way I'm not looking forward to this but in another way I am. Hopefully, something can be done to make her a bit more comfortable.

Yes, I hope a specialist can help her feel better right now, and figure out what needs to be done as a solution to her problem.

Hey T.jeff we are the same temps. I know it rained before it got light out but Chaz said it had been sprinkling at the shop. Been watching the clouds this morning. It is overcast but man I think some f them has been really neat. Been a mixture of colors. Have a good afternoon all.

Thanks it was a great little workout. Hophornbeam is worth it Imo. Wanted to ask you, is it true you have to have a built in pool filled in the winter time?
    Have a great day everyone

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was a good day, I finished splitting my tree service oak, and we got some much needed rain. IMG_20190926_23243.jpg
Today, finish painting the pool! A major psychological hurdle, I hate that job so bad. Then in a few days I can start filling it again, and get the cover on it before the leaves and pine needles start to fall.
Also today, my FHC buddy will come by to pick up another load of dry oak. And maybe pull the splitter away. It's time.
Tomorrow I get to car hoard some black birch, a special treat. And I still hope to make it to the Pickle Festival in Winchester!
    Have a great day today!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Got to go back to work tonight, so just going to piddle around the wood yard. Probably clean out the spot to build the bigger shed with the pallets we got. Get a nap after lunch.
    Remember the Golden Rule.

I've kept it filled with water every year but one, when I lined it with a huge tarp after having some work done on it. I don't know the consequences of one way or the other, but leaving it filled overwinter makes for a faster startup in the spring.
