Been busy recently getting wood for the house and maple evaporator . The Kubota with the grapple and the 20ft trailer make a nice combo ! Enjoy the pics ......
Grapple is my favorite word. Would be better if it was my favorite tool Nice collection there wishlist.
I bought a 72” 2 cylinder Tomahawk. Few hour drive down Indiana and picked it up at the manufacture. Very happy with it , clears those nasty vines and brush in the woods to make a nice trail to haul out logs .
Hey lad, it is good to see you posting again! Long time no see. When did you get the Kubota? Looks about like ours except for the grapple. For sure the grapples are great but we don't have one...yet. Wish you could have came to our gtg last May. We had a wonderful time and over 70 people attending! Cut lots of wood too including a winter's supply for a neighbor (that took us a whole 3 hours). Somehow we need to get together again. Seems like when you retired, you are now so darned busy. lol
Nice score I like the set up you have. Like the looks of your weight box. Could we get a picture of it?
Great setup, and a heck of a load! How much syrup so you usually make in a year? We have plenty of sugar maple around, been thinking about it for the last couple years.. We wouldn't be able to make much, but it would sure beat the heck out of Mrs Butterworth's!
Bought the tractor last summer Dennis . Needed it for moving tanks among other things . Sure is saving my back ! Sorry I missed the gtg, I’ve been super busy , don’t know how I got anything done before I retired . Lol You haven’t seen the new evaporator yet . Come over late feb and I’ll put you to work , I’m sure I have a red milk crate laying around that you can sit on .
Thanks . It sure saves a lot of work and my back ! Made 450 gallons this year , season started slow then it never stopped . Maple sugar has been selling really well , I’ve made over 100lbs already and making more in the morning. I agree , Mrs Butterworths.....YUCK !
