We we're at the beach in NC when we met 2 couples from Mass. referring to themselves as Mass-holes...I think I sprayed some of my drink out my nose...
I tell my wife "it's either this or me gettin drunk and keepin time with loose women..." Choose one. Most times the bruises heal up pretty quick.
I said I would get a pic of the sign near my house on the way to drop off our exhibits at the fair. Here it is in the cradle of American Liberty, "live Free or Die" NH the Granite State.
there was one log on display at the heritage New Hampshire museum? I just googled that and it closed in 2006. I remember going there back in the 1980's NH mountain man
History was made here, One of the 55 men who signed the Declaration of Independence lived a few miles away in my town, his house is a National Historic Site. Those times were not that long ago, those folks cut the same trees on the same land, grew their food on the same land, and raised their families in the same town where I live now. And in the present, in the same town, I am doing all those same things as back then. I do feel a very special sense of pride that defines who I am.
I went there as a kid and don't remember much, other than everything was really neat. I was totally into Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket back then.
Nothing worth doing ever comes easy, we as hoarders know that. When those 55 brave men put their names to ink on that parchment known as the Declaration of Independence, they were committing treason and sedition against the the crown. The British commanded the largest navy and army in the world at that time, we had neither an army or a navy. Those signers were dead men walking if we lost. But we fired the shot heard round the world nearby in Concord and Lexington. The rest they say, is history. God Bess the USA.
Guess where the Mercedes in my hotel parking lot that parked too close to me is from? Good thing my steel running boards are pretty pointy and almost mid door on their cuv.
Oh I know it. I used to live in Maine. We've got the same issue with people from Illinois coming up to Wisconsin. We call them FIB's.
i am a huge history fan ,the revolution started in my town ,the schools here are changing history as they teach it ,i saw recently that some people are again trying to get the hannah dustin statues /monuments removed in haverhill on the grounds she was racist ,how ridiculous this state has become, the people in boscowen nh also have a monument to her and dont seem to have a problem with it ,i must get out soon
The sin of racism and the sin of religion . Hannah was also a devout Puritan. Just another deplorable that must be erased by the Woke. Their campaigns No different than those of ISIL destroying evidence cultural heritage in Iraq, Syria and Libya.
a few years back when the idiots were trying to ban the confederate battle flag i hung a real confederate flag ,the stars and bars from my porch flagpole and no one knew what it was ,these fools dont know what they are talking about ,one guy did comment that it was a colonial flag ,i am offended by a lot of things to but i dont want to ban them
NH mountain man this was on nh chronicle last night ,thought you might like it ,i think i will grab one
Nobody can ban history, any one individual can fly their colors as they see fit as you proved to yourself, it is in fact what this country is built on, but celebrating the aspects of history that are contrary to decency with flags and monuments that are part of governmental display only serves to perpetuate the indecency.
