I agree completely! The OTR days are gone for me I’ll never do that again. It’s hard to be gone and not see everyone grow up around you. Everything changes so fast and you miss it all. On top of that everything on the road takes advantage of drivers and truck stops are the worst.

We have a TA account at work and I do have points but I almost always use the Speedway fuel stops around us that are in network I really don’t like truck stops.

Yes, thank you for having us out by you. It was a pleasure to finally meet you!

Badger and William had a great time playing with Lady.

    3258 miles.
I think there were some hard put miles.

Our 450 still sounds like new with 1524 mild miles on it.

I'll probably still check valve adjustment, as well as filter & fluid changes.

I heard they can be a bear to check on that quad.

But some also complained of that noise on nearly new KQ's.

    It's worth a check though.

Yeah, screw that noise. I'd lose my mind doing otr work. Most I did was 2.5 days to Atlanta and back, and that was too much for me. I slept in my bed every night.....well most nights, and made more than 98% of the guys I was towing.

I did OTR when I was younger I’ve hauled it all and missed out on a lot in the process.. It’s odd looking back you almost become institutionalized in a way. I found myself setting in a corner by myself not wanting to talk to others at restaurants because I spent so much time alone in the truck. I’d get home for 2 or 3 days and be out 2 to 3 weeks at a time and that was considered ( good ) home time back then. I left driving for a long time and really struggled to get used to little things like the bed not shaking or the silence at night or even where to find food when the house has a fridge:rofl:

It’s defiantly a hard life and I will never do OTr again that’s for sure. There’s nothing that could make me put the family through that again. I do miss aspects of it but that comes with any experience and the memories attached I would guess.

The solitude is what I like most ironically nobody over my shoulder just point me in a direction and I’ll get it done.

It hit 90° this afternoon. Past few days in the mid 80s. Nothing like starting off fall with a heatwave. Stacked more wood over the weekend. Its all done for now. Just need to make some kindling now.

Chaz, Sorry it took so long. I’m just not on much in the summer :(
Great to hear from you and Holly! She looks so proud. My Oggie used to do that. 96F51000-C647-472A-9B09-C38F81DBEE09.jpeg She was a loving little, 20 pound, little girl (Jack Russel). Until something invaded her space. And then look out. She was a little scrapper. Hope everything is good with you and your wife.

Starting to get light out, soon I'll be able to see what came crashing down in the wind last night.

Good to hear I am not the only one who hears their woods making noise at night. We will need pics of what mother nature gave you.

Slept in this morning. Stayed up late (late for us) to watch 15 innings of baseball with the Blue Jays winning. Fans back east had it rough with the game over by 12:30 AM but for the home town fans it was worth it.

It's the one that you use to pull the wheel that right after the fourth wheel.
