Dropped another one today at the neighbors. I was aiming for the stump of the hollow one I cut yesterday. Pretty happy with how this one went.

Perfect shot! Nice cut GrJfer! That will make some nice firewood, and cutting elevated for a while will be a treat. :) Impressive!

Bulls eye! If you were a golfer that would be a "hole in one"!

From the outside, that tree looks like it's seen gooder days......but the inside looks very solid.
    Nice shot.

I gave it a few whacks with the fiskars, and it sounded solid. Driving the wedges definitely confirmed it. Should make some nice future BTU's.

I am sure they would appreciate some left behind for the fire ring there. Always a bonus when part of a tree is off the ground to cut rounds up quick.

70+ years old with 2 bad hips so the fire ring doesn't get used, but I am splitting some as I go for her in side wood stove.

Sounds like we have much in common. I too am 70+ years old with 2 bad hips and a terrible back and neck. Have also had 3 hip surgeries and 3 back surgeries. Like can get to be a trial sometimes...

Backwoods Savage she is widowed, but her grandson still lives there. He works on the road, so he isn't home often. I help her when I can. She still likes her wood heat.

Nice when they are propped off the ground, makes for a lot easier bucking. Great fell by a great feller BTW.
