Hey guys! Long time lurker here! My name is Andy and I’ve been around wood heat my whole life.
I’ve been burning since I got married in 2012, and been heating 100% with wood since 2017, when my wife decided to work from home after our youngest was born.
We heat with an old Johnson Energy wood furnace. I cut with a Stihl 362, 290, and an old cranky 024. I have a Countyline 25 ton splitter that I bought after reading the reviews on this site. I’m all set for the 3 year plan and am probably gonna sell a little bit this winter as well. I’ll post pics as I can, here is one of my saws on the workbench, with my 044 in the back that I’m working on rebuilding due to an air leak. That’s another post for another day, though. Sorry for the long read!

I played with transformers in the 80's.

Now we all play with chainsaws.

    Welcome to FHC!

I had a few hand-me-down He-Man toys from an older cousin and used to watch Voltron on toonami.

While you boys were playing with your robot dolls ;) :p I was already busy gittin 'er dun...our living room carpet was apparently very fertile...must have raised 492 crops of corn, and 3 times that much hay by the time I went out and did it for real...my favorite machine here...still have it. Gets me to thinking, I need to get that down for the boy to play with! Of course I don't work on the farm anymore, so he may not be as into it as I was...lil boys wanna be like their dads n all...he does like his toy chainsaw though!
