Finally found the last page. You’ve been Busy...haha to say the least. Fantastic splitting and stacking. Rack envy is palpable here!
It is with a heavy heart I post this morning...all good things end... It is finished, the last rack...got thru about 10:00 last night... Still have some rounds to and plenty of logs to ...guess I have to build some more racks. It has been a good spring and summer, first time in 2 yrs we have all the sheds full...I think the ol' crow and his cute chick did ok, not a jrider marathon , but we got'ter did. Haven't measured it all, but close to 12 full cords of premium splits CSS plus 2 piles and one small rack of culls for us. We have one shed for small rounds and limb wood left to do. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement this year. Special thanks to huskihl for putting a smile on my face each time I run the XS saws, sure makes cutting fun.
Man you better get busy on some more sheds. Your going to get bored otherwise. Plus you will get out of shape also. Great job guys.
You know me too well......my doctor told me I was out of shape, he's wrong, ROUND is a shape... Thanks, sister.
Attaboy and attagirl for making great firewood out of unwanted logs that would have gone to rot! Someday it will be cold enough down there to burn it. Now go and have a fun trip to the beach, and come back refreshed.
We got the load of cooking wood cut, split and delivered. 1st row is a big pecan limb we got a couple weeks ago, next 2 rows are the big pecan rounds. Used to older splitter to make the big pecan rounds manageable. My hunny and her 1st cousin got it done on the new splitter. Full load, 3 rows pecan, 1 row cherry, 1 row hickory. He was very pleased.
We went to eat lunch and met a neighbor that lives a few miles from us. Got to talking to him and he said he had a pecan tree blow down about a year ago. Said I could get all we wanted. It's got some nice limbs, I'll use an old chain on the trunk...lol... I think we will wait until it cools a little. It's not going anywhere.
