These are the candidates. The more molds, the faster it goes.

    Very nice!
Ive been watching for those cast iron gem pans. They're usually pretty pricey at the antique stores...and rare.

I've got another top left one with some surface rust. They were fairly common, when I was buying them (15-20 years ago).

After I put my name on the calendar to cover the vacation day at work, I asked my hunny what day the meal was... normally I would be elbow deep with the mission crew. We enjoy doing our little projects, going to cut a big trailer load of wood for a cancer patient first of October. Good Lord provides what we need to accomplish HIS PURPOSE.

As Chazsbetterhalf mentioned, we're gonna be able to get our metal roof on this year.

    :loco:

Then had to reset my password here.

    But, all is better now.

Finished up cutting what had come down. All I have left to do is clean the lawn where there are still some small branches and a bit of sawdust. I will get to the rest of the trunk that is still standing later this fall. It was some nice solid elm.

Is it dry enough to burn this winter?

Good morning everyone! Nice to have Chaz back. I hope your new phone last a good long time.
We had a good time at the pig roast. IMG_20190915_9853.jpg IMG_20190915_26300.jpg
We saw some old friends there and talked about wild old times when we were younger. They bought a boat that goes out on the ocean, so we'll go for a cruise before they put it away. I'll have to take Dramamine.
This looked like a bad idea, but worked out OK, I guess. IMG_20190915_40607.jpg IMG_20190915_58895.jpg Today I'll work on my oak. No grandson, he has a playdate.
    Have a great day everyone!

Midwinter It might be dry for this year but being on the 3+ year plan it will be awhile before it goes in the stove. I must have a couple dozen vertical wood piles in my woods, all dead elm. I see no shortage of work in my future:saw::axe::stacker:
