Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. Another night of work down, one more to go. Did manage to get my truck back from the shop, put a new deck belt on the mower and split about 4 rounds. Maybe we can get to the wood pile again.

Good morning everyone! We got the dining room carpet back inside. I won't be doing that again.
Kind of gray out there, rain expected. I'll chip away at things, get some oak split, and move a little dry oak into the basement. Progress is incremental. The beach was nice yesterday.
    Have a good day everyone.

He has, and yes, he loves it. He's gone to a few birthday parties there, as well.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. I'm off today, so we are going over to a friend's house with saws and tractor. He needs 3 pines and a sweet gum taken down, no, I'm not hauling that home for wood, I'm gonna be snobby today...lol... it's to far to take the pines to the sawmill, the owner hasn't been well lately. Hopefully all goes well and doesn't take too long. Need to get a nap, we are taking our DIL out for her birthday tonight. Y'all be good today, don't take any wooden nickels.
    Remember the Golden Rule.

Good morning everyone! Temps in the 60's, so today will be a day of wood! This morning I'll move some dry oak out to the driveway for a pickup, and then cut up some fresh oak and move it to the splitter. There are still 8 good sized logs left to cut. They are piled up though, which makes it a bit more complicated.
Kitty for scale, she was looking for chipmunks back there.
Have a fun day everyone! IMG_20190913_19962.jpg

Are you getting rid of some wood?...
Be careful on that pile, do you have a pry pole or bar? Try to get log to roll to the ground.

Not getting rid of it, just trying to get it cut, split, and stacked. I have a pry bar, but I doubt I could budge them, especially without firm footing. I think I'll nibble away at the ends to get them smaller.

This just came down a few minutes ago. It was a dead standing elm. It just brushed the pole barn with no damage done. Guess I know what I will be doing the rest of the day:saw::saw::saw:

That's the great thing about being retired, you can just do what needs doing! Looks like not much of a top on it, hope it goes well.
